Does anyone know for New York State how much a person would have to make per hour and the number of hours per week in order to financially sustain themselves and to be off Social Services cash assistance?
Also does anyone know the amount of cash assistance given based off of income. In other words I'm on full cash assistance right now for a single person. If I worked 20 hours a week would I still get cash assistance? Etc based on hours

@DeeeSchmeee68
I am glad you are trying to get work to supplement assistance. I am not knowledgeable on that subject but I did find this PDF by the State of NY about public assistance - emergency relief.
https://otda.ny.gov/programs/publications/5102.pdf

If the program you are on is not public assistance, substitute the name of the program for "public assistance" in the phrase below and do a google search with that.
new york public assistance how much can you work before lose benefits

I’d ask social services directly. Most of don’t live in your state and we’ll look on google or other search engine and it might not be accurate. How much you need to sustain yourself depends on where you live. City, rural, what’s your mortgage, do you need a car etc what’s the gas cost etc There’s no universal answer.
