My husband needs to go away for a week for the volunteer job he does. We're having major renovations done on the house. My throid levels are still wacky after surgery. All of this is making me terrified. I have NO idea what I'm so scared of, but I feel very threatened.

I've been feeling like a bad case of leprosy here also. I know you all care & have shown it many times...I just feel so alone. sorry....

You are thought of.
Thyroid surgury will sure make your moods go whacko. Try to keep in mind that a portion of it is physiological and will settle with time. That aside, I can feel for you. I know how it is when my H goes out of town. We went thru similar when we were having our house done....he was away for several days and there were workers in and out of my house. Felt invasive.
I found my own safe place in the midst of it and stayed there. Also had a few friends I could go and visit in the evening when things settled down and I wasn't needed to be home.
Keep breathing.
Keep talking.
Thanks for this!

Do you have someone you trust who could come over and spend time with you during the day while strangers are working around your home?? That would help my fear levels. I feel insecure sometimes when my husband goes on trips and then to have strangers around would be difficult for me.

I would feel very tense and that is not even having surgery to deal with. Any hormone change can mess with one's mind and moods. Try to be kind and patient with yourself.

People here do care no matter how you feel! It is ok!

Sending hugs for if you want them

Thank you all for replying.
I don't even feel comfortable asking a friend (if there was one) to come over. I don't feel comfortable calling my mother cause she'll do her crazymaking stuff again.
I couldn't sleep last night and had lotts of trouble driving to see t today. I got really dizzy in his officeso he told me to call him when I got home. I see him again tomorrow. My T said he thinks there's a lot of activity in my head. I just feel the fight or flight feeling.
