Does anyone else find that the effects of alcohol are heightened with DID? I had one pre-mix drink (vodka cruiser) last night and woke up this morning with a hangover! And that is not me. Let me know how it is for you.

Phew, alcohol makes me lose a lot of time, more than usual. I kind of Rolodex. I've found it is best for me to stay away from it if I want to feel a little more sane.

I'm sorry you got a hangover from it.

It can go many ways for me/us. Sometimes there is little or no effect from drinking...other times less than a full drink will make me sick as a dog and very dissociated. You never know.

I don't drink.

But when I used to, there were times I could consume large quantities that would drop a guy to his knees, (I'm barely 5 feet) but I wouldn't feel a thing. And I never got drunk that easy.

I always chalked it up to extreme hypervigilance. Hmmmm. Effects of Alcohol

Ditto for me Orange Blossom, though I am 5'6". Extreme hypervigilance means I never got much of a buzz. I'm not as hyper-v as before but meds still do not usually work on me except in horse dosages. It even took 3 pre-operation shots to get me out sufficiently to start surgery one time.

Ain't it fun...
