We are very very scared for a medical procedure tomorrow because the body hasn't been healthy and professional/wife/mama can't eat and lost lots of weight. So she has to have an upper endoscopy and a colonoscopy at the same time and then this paper about it said that they numb the throat and put a long scope in and some people feel like they can't breathe!!! we're really scared and Vicki is freaking out because this is her bad memory place.. .don't know if we can do that!!!

They should put you out for the endoscopy with the same stuff as for the colonoscopy. I so understand the fears, but try to keep calm. It's a good idea to tell them that you have an abuse history so they can be prepared to help if needed.

Keep us posted, we care.

Thank you for caring. it's just a scary thing to tell them.. thought about it but it seems like so much exposure.

Hope you read this before you go in but can you take a stuffie with you. Maybe put it in a bag so you can have it when you can get up. They might let you have it to hold right away after waking but maybe not. No harm in asking.

Oh, that's a great idea about the stuffie. When I had this done, I found out the next day that I was given one by the nurse to hold during the procedure (or at least have it with me I guess) and take it home with me. I still have it in my drawer. I think that it must have helped a lot. Keep us posted, we care.

Oh, that's a good idea about the stuffie, I have a little polar bear that fits in my hand and it rides in our car and we hold it at therapy. We'll take it. . .
Spent the night sleeping on the bathroom floor b/c of the gallon of yucky stuff we had to drink. It's all very triggering!!
We really appreciate so much that you care. Thank you, thank you

We did it! We did it! oh yeah!!!
at first we were so nervous then we just said how scary it was to the nurse and she was so nice and funny and really gentle. We got some extra meds that helped and everyone agreed to go to a deep sleep and we helped each other!!! that doesn't happen ever. There's no memory at all of the procedure just tired today from all the meds but feeling pretty good! they took like 5 biopsies of the stomach and 4 from the colon but still said everything looked normal. yay! we feel like it was a huge success.
Thank you (((((((((everyone)))))))))))for your kind words of support.
