Hey y'all...

Just wondering...? Have any of you ever forgotten to eat?

Not like just avoiding eating because you didn't feel like it, but literally because you forgot?

I started feeling kind of sickish a bit ago and my head was spinning a bit....I started questioning why I was feeling bad and I couldn't remember if I ate anything or not, but someone piped up inside and said "No you dork...you didn't eat."

So...I literally forgot to eat!!

Yeah...

It is so weird!! Lately, I haven't been eating until 8:00 or 9:00pm at night...going all day without food.

Tonight I tried to remember what I ate...if I did eat anything at all and it was just blank. I really didn't know...couldn't remember.

So, I just decided that if I can't remember it then I must not have eaten.

I've been doing this off and on for a while. My mind is full of issues and feelings and food just doesn't interest me as much as it used to. When my mood is very down or very up I don't eat much. When life is boringly ordinary then food is a crutch to alter my moods.

I've stopped questioning much of any of the weird things I do as a dissociative person. I can only be horrified, amazed, freaked, surprised, scared and amused so often.

Maybe you can talk to your head and explain how the body has needs and everyone will suffer if you forget to eat. Sometimes if I just "talk to my head" as I call it, it helps my insiders and others cooperate better.

Hope you can work something out for everyone's benefit!

Oh, yes. On a regular basis. I even try to take food with me and forget to eat that !(when a yogurt lets you know it's been lost on the floor of the car it is not a good thing!)good luck with this and take care. Sometimes setting my cell phone alarm helps with this. . .

Elysium, I'm smiling as I type. There are days that are saved from awfulness by something funny. I'm glad you got a smile from my unintended humor. The best humor really is about the weird side of truth in life!
