Idiots!

Scary stickers all over the testing equipment being used.

How stupid. Keep it to their coffee rooms or lockers, NOT funny or fun!

Had testing today, was scared anyway and then on top this stupid bored operators making it frightening to even be there...with their mean stupid stickers

stupid! stupid medical testing people

Yes, this test is over, but I must go back for the next set, in the same room. Idiiots!

These are so-called-trained people, unprofessional,in the hospital testing settings, who are bored with their jobs and have to get a thrill from potentially harming others.

Afterall, don't our feelings count too?

Thoughtless and unprofessional. Some people are so clueless...There are so many people that are afraid of tests and machines. What are these people thinking? Oh yeah, they aren't.

What kind of scary stickers? OSHA requires "safety stickers" on lots and lots of things, and also stickers on anything that have any kind of chemicals in it (we actually had to put a sticker on the bottle of hand soap in the restroom of the doc office I worked in!). Some of these stickers could be pretty scary...the safety stickers sometimes show what could go wrong (like the airbag warning in newer cars), and the MSDS stickers tell how combutible and how poisonous something is. Were the stickers like this type? If they were, the employees have no control over that, it's a Federal requirment.

I'm sorry an already potentially scary situation was made more scary.

Searfim:

It's testing in a hospital.

Skelletons, scarry green creatures, some sort of devices that look like they could be clicked and someone would die. They are on a glass enclosed case that people sit for some testing.

I go again tomorrow and if it's where I have to take that test, I'll be asking them to take them down.

Being in there for life and death reasons doesn't make these look funny for me and I expect others either. Besides, I get scared of them sometimes.

I will survive

This sounds like tasteless decorations. That might even be worth a complaint to hospital administration.

Serafim,

Yes, tasteless scary stickers of spiders and skelatons and caution tape but I didn't have to sit in it and tried not to look at it this time.

I'll wait a few days a phone a complain. I don't mind doing that but not just before the test as it would be a little stressful. The odd thing is I like fall leaves or twigs and gourds but this is just down right insensitive.

I shouldn't have for the test maybe, but I bit off a little corner of the ativan pill, as I could feel the dread as I drove there. I told them there and they said it probably wouldn't affect the respiratory test.

Thanks for caring Seraphim when I know you are so busy.

Are the bad stickers about "halloween" or the H word I call it. Lots of people pay so much more attention to H and decorate and have parties and stuff. I really do not understand their ideas or behavior. In some Hispanic countries they celebrate a day of remembering family members who have died - but america makes a holiday or scariness and ugly things.

That is JUST WRONG!!!!!!!!! YUK!!!!!!!!!!!

pixies who hate the h word

Thank you all for your concern.

We know they are H stickers and stickers of buttons to be pushed as for a shock or killing device. The stickers are on a glass case with a chair (for testing) sitting in it...giving the allusion of an electric or some other type of electronic chair. There is also caution tape wrapped around the door before entering the room. It is not humorous, celebratory or fun. These so called decoarations are not nice leaves or pumpkins (other than scary looking ones).

The tests being done in this room are for testing breathing. Anxiety can affect breathing. It is testing for adults and children. Sheesh, the insensitivity of this medical community astounds me!

We are making a point to contact the hospital, in due course, but will wait till our report is gone to our Dr. office.

Please, if you work in a hospital testing setting be a little more professional. Keep your so called celebrations to your personal areas or use tasteful seasonal splashes of colour using veggies, plants etc.
