Hi everyone! been home two days now after spending 32 days inpatient at River Oaks Trauma Unit in New Orleans. It was the best thing we have ever done for ourselves! It was a lot of really hard work, introspection and learning to trust myself, the staff and my peers. I worked my hardest at every assignment and made huge strides with internal communication and letting go of a lot of self-loathing, blame and guilt. What a great place, I consider myself so blessed to have had the opportunity to go. Soooo, worth it, even though I came home w/H1N1 and my little son has it too (interesting since we were so far apart) He got sick the day I came home so I have had the privilege of caring for my baby. We've been snuggled up together on the couch since I got home. Even sick, I/we feel soooooooo much better than before! and have lots of new coping and grounding skills to help us on our way. Thanks everyone for all of your caring support as we were trying to get into the hospital. We missed everyone alot. It's great to be back.

Love dream

But you all have help us so much thank you and i hope all of you will continue to heal.. Enjoy that baby of yours it has the best mom in the world one that has chosen to heal and will always know he does what he does . My son both loves it and hates it because i always know when to stay out and when to put him into check. he's 15 now and we still enjoy him. Best wishes

Welcome back dreamland!!!!!!!!
I am so glad this was such a positive experience. I've got tears in my eyes and am not sure what to say. I am just so happy for you.
Take good care of yourself and your son, get lots of snuggling in, gotta catch up on that!
So good to hear from you!
