Hi, All:

I just wanted to post here about our wonderful day.

First, it wasn't wonderful because the gasket went on a car and we had to take it to a place and then we were supposed to get it but it wasn't ready and then we missed our chat....so that is the bad news.

But then when there wasn't anything we could do well we went for a walk with our grandaughters to the playground and let them play on the fun playground equipment. We didn't have a formal lunch we had like 3 healthy snacks (after washing everyone's hands) and well one yummy treat.

For breakfast we made faces with grapes cut in half for eyes, a triangle cut from a pear for a nose, toast ears and scrambled eggs hair with ketchup, oh yes, and an orange for a mouth. They had heart shaped, red suckers while sitting quiety and safely on the steps at their home and they rode their bikes with their boots on through puddles and made water tire marks on the cement!

My one grandaughter said look Grandma: "I made mauve" with the special safe paints I let her play with while her sister napped still sitting comfortably in the stroller from our walk to the playground. It was a sunny day with a crisp late winter almost spring wind blowing so we were bundled up cozily in jackets with hoods and mittens.

What a perfect way to spend an unexpected day that started out badly but ended well.
