Hi my name is Lilly,
I find that I have.... alters that can take over. I get along with all of them and you usally cant tell if they come out. They are good and they use my name and all. But they sometimes get ressless and want to talk to realy people not al me but as them. I feel bad but I can seem to let them be them selves I can talk to them wile they are in my hed and they dont have to be out. However when they are ressles or almost come out there main feelings and nature will show up on me. For example Scarlet she is such a teen and she can make me mad when normally I wouldnt be. My new therypist thinks I am scizo. Should I tell her that they can come out and what will they do?

I am not qualified to say if that's DID, but I'll assume it is something like it in my response. It sucks not to know, and I wish I could help you in that regard, but I can't.

A few years ago, I would have advised you to let your alters come out on the internet and make friends there - it helped me. But the more my alter made friends, the less time I had. Now he's sort of taking over. So there may be dangers if you take that route.

Welcome to the DD forum
Love your username

anyways, when they tal
k do you hear them outside your head like you would hear any other sound? or inside your head? Because you can't have auditory hallucinations like in schizophrenia unless they sound like real sounds you would hear if someone was sitting next to you and talking to you.

Based on what I've learned about DID, it doesn't really fit. Generally spea
king, people with DID aren't aware of their alters at first, come out uncontrollably, and aren't co-conscious for a long time. I'm not a professional though so you should continue to seek help for this if it is what you want.
Thanks for this!

Years ago I was diagnosed as Schizoid. Years later I have DID.

Are the voices inside your head or outside? This is a very clear marker. In the diagnoses of having DID you need to have at least two alters.

Ask your therapist if they believe in DID.

I don't know you well enough to say if you are or not. I think kaika had some very valid points.

Good Luck and Take Care

are you DID? I dont know are you? Sorry but only you can tell us if you are DID we cant tell you if you are DID. If you are not sure talk to your therapist and the therapist can refer you for diagnostic procedures then you will know your answer.

Some people with schizo do have alters so for the moment I would go with what ever you have already been diagnosed and work on what ever your problems are. in the end it doesn't matter what the diagnosis is as long as your problems are being taken care of and symptoms are being worked on and put into control. When I hadn't received the DID diagnosis I was called mood disorder NOS and bipolar disordered. My therapist and I were still able to work on my problems as long as I was honest with her about what was going on. can a medical doctor help your problems whether or not its diagnosed as bronchitis if you hide the fact that you cough up phlegm. but if you tell them you are coughing up phlegm it doesn't matter what the diagnosis is they can still give you a prescription for it. therapists cant help with what you hide but they can help with what problems they know about.

the Vocies are inside my head and I have at least 7. At first I didnt know they where there. I had almost if not cumpleat black outs but of couse I didnt think anything of it. Later I starteed hearing them to. I thought of scizo because of the hearing vocies. But then I looked at there personal traits and it all fit. The times I saw my self doing things but didnt know why the time I lost ****roll and well yah. they can come out sometimes on demand and sometimes randomly. It all depends.

I was dx schizophrenia with black out as an adult we had to move due to safety issues. before this we had been going trhough intergartions and know what we need to do to get the parts that had seperated due to the new trauma back into the folds so to speak. but the place that I moved to did not accept MPD/DID only the different types of schizophrenia. So we had to do the work mostly by our selfs. there are good online surport groups and materials that has helped ud on our journey. but the key question that we learned to ask our selfs is do we only hear voices or can those voice time share with the body and do thier own thing. In the past 10 years we have lost a lot of faith in the mential health system we hope you can find one that will hear you and help you on your inner journy into wholeness again good luck.

My advice is to talk to a professional.
