In therapy i was told that the therapy i was in was not tailored to treat DID/MPD patient's and that they really dont believe in that diagnoses. They are sending me to a trauma clinic in may. I feel so let down. I feel like they think im a fraud! I had my last review last week, They said that i dissociate between different states.... and seem like i am in my own world. I dont know what to think anymore....If they dont believe in DID/MPD Then what chance have i got to integrate and be whole.

They just do not understand. When people do not understand some thing they adumadicly make it fake or not true. Like going to the moon or the idea of evolution. When people tell you it is not true no not believe them. Make your own jugment. You are not bad. You do not lie. And most of all I belive DID and MPD is real I have it. I know people that do. Many of us have to take this road on our own. It is not easy but we do and can take this road. Please have the faith in your self and those here.

I would love to come to the DID chats but because of the time difference I always seem to miss them I saw it said there was a chat today! but i missed it. Think it is early in the morning like 1am till 2am something like that. Im in the uk.

I do not think you are a fraud. I think that those who cannot understand DID just say it doesn't exist because it is much simpler than trying to understand. I hope that you are able to find a T that not only knows that DID is real, but can help you heal. There are people out there that have it. You have it, I have it, several others that I have met here have it. It is very real. Please know that I am here for support if you need me. That goes for anyone else that might read this post. I am sick of people saying that I don't exist, because obviously I do. I think that if we are all here together giving each other support and helping each other when we are able, we can make life much happier for all of us. Warm thoughts and safe hugs if ok.

We agree with Wepow not only did they once believe that the earth was flat but they also outlawed science in the dark ages as well. Our science, our tecnology is just now proving that in the atom of all beings is made mostly of air. Now we ask what is in the air parts of an atom if not spirit. They can now even take pictures of the energy feld of a human being. It the people that want to put us back into the dark ages and make the public believe that we are only a frigment of our imagination that are pulling string in the mential health area that it is making us have such a hard time getting the help we need and being accepted by those working in the feild and those around us.

I join the little band of supporters here. It is true we experienced trauma during the abuse and that my original diagnosis was PTSD and s'pose for those who don't believe in dissociating to the point of becoming multiple then it still exists.

The 'truth' will out no matter how narrow minded they are. We have to believe that.
