we got to bring Shasha home ! she is being a big girl.
we are taken her to appointments with us and she is being so calm about it. ( majority of the time she will sit or sleep until appointment is over) they are so amased that a 11 week old puppy is able to do this.
we cant wait until we figure out how to put pics from our phone cameran here. it turns out that she is a lab rotty mix. but at this time she is so o o o lab in temperement but with a big body. she looks kind of scrimbled with a small head but on a body that has big feet and chest.
we just took her out for her midnight walk and played with her and now she is slepping.
we are so glad that we now have good things to talk about we hope that we can find or should we say be able to see more good things to talk about in the time to come as those within find more safety and surcurty with the knowledge that we finely have a being in our lives that accept us for who and what we are.
A big thanks for those that are here from all of us to all of you!

Haha, what wonderful news!

You deserve to be accepted for who you are and find safety!

Whooo hooo , looking forward to pics when you are able. There seems to be quite a few here with puppies and doggies and they let us see them from time to time and it's so delightful.

we finally accept it having a puppy is just like having a new baby! we put her in diapers so that we can go any where with her. she fine when they are on her but she squirmes like heck just to put them on.
~
she is so lab in her nature. she is able to sit or sleep during our appointment. when we are home she will play fetch and tug-a-war. she is sooo cute yet still so needy in the amount of care she needs from me ( all of those within)
~
In the short time that she has been with us she was able to ground us and give us enough sercurity to help us out of a panic attack. for being so young that gift alone makes us want to pour her with love and care.
~
she is like having pc world right in our home.

Anderson,

It is wonderful that you have a new puppy! I am very happy for you. She sounds like she is well behaved and she was a great find. Having her around to help ground you and help with getting out of the panic attacks sounds wonderful. I am so glad you have found such a great companion for you all. I also can't wait to see pictures of her cute little face! Congratulations.

Hugs to all,
Shasha is helping us feel more comfortable in public around people. we even got told that even though she is only 11 weeks old she behaves better then some of the older services dogs. Now that makes us feel so proud !!!!
~
we are starting to go to the dog park with her. at the moment she is the youngest. she playes with all the other dogs that range from small dogs to saint bernards and german shepards. it is so cute her running under and around the bigger dogs and making friends.
~
now that we are doing this she is quiting down at night and is going through the training with more acceptance. we were told a true service dog want to work with you. and she is doing so much by choice so by letting her go to the dog park to play and to get to know others it is sooo little compared to what she is doing for us.
~
we are learning how to help each other and still allow each other the time to play and grow. ..... .....

((((Anderson)))) safe cyber hugs and if you can just give a scratch to Shasha for us She is beginning to feel like: 'the forum's dog'. We look forward to you letting us know of her progress updates. What fun for her to be at the dog park and what freedom for you.

anderson...I am so glad that Sasha is doing so well with you, and enjoying her time at the dog park...we haven't started going to the dog park here because there is a lot of snow and Chibi doesn't like the snow yet...nor does she like the leash yet, although she is learning to accept it and when on it, she is doing better...chibi has her times of terrierizing the apartment...she flies around the apartment at terrier speed and all we can do is laugh at her...she does so love to be around us...and I am so glad that she is learning to sit on command. next we will be taking her to puppy kindergarten so she can learn some more skills...like down, stay and come...she does pretty well with the come/sit, as long as she gets a reward for coming/sitting. Now it will be introduced with sit/stay. That is very important for a dog to learn the stay command. Especially if the dog gets away from you. You can call him/her to sit/stay from anywhere and the dog should obey--for his/her own protection. I hope you will have many years of pleasure with Sasha!
