Scared. Am in staff meeting and feelings are running high. HT seems angry and I don't like anger. He was very abrupt with me earlier. Don't like this.

Im sorry HT is being abrupt. It sucks when people do that in work. Especially cos there is the air of respectability that we all have to maintain in work. Can you ignore him. Like pull a shutter down on his abruptness. The thing is, you have been off on A/L so his abruptness may well be about something unrelated to you. He might just be having a bad day himself. Ive had the same, feeling like someone is having a pop at me only to find out its nothing to do with me at all.

I expect you are right. I just get frustrated. I kept being given more and more pieces of paper. I have asked (and it is supposed to be school policy) to have things in electronic form where possible, and yet when I asked if it was available electronically (bear in mind this is a typed, school policy) I felt as if I was being unreasonable.
Probably a lot is down to me though.

I dont think its down to you. What I was saying is that we all think when people are not how we expect that somehow its our fault. I didnt mean it was your fault Caroline. Ive just not explained myself properly. Sorry.
This guy has probably got up, lost his sock, ripped his trousers, spilled his Tea and then met you! ugh

Want me to get the gang together? Sort him out?

Oh, I realised what you meant, and it hit a common theme for me. It is down to me in many ways because I am the one who interprets it as criticism of me, when it was almost certainly not intended as such.
