I've been wondering lately, who is this that writes my posts?

When I respond to others, it seems that my parts collaborate at times and each give suggestions and support for that which they are the most familiar. Like, my parts that work will give suggestions on work things, and my Spiritual part will give Spiritual support, and my parts that are little will often chime in, through adult parts, to offer any support they can.

....but....who is this? I don't know. No specific part claims this writers voice so I don't know if it's my Operator or if it's another part that just hasn't been named. I keep asking, but I just get silence. Is this Me? You know, the "I" behind the "Us"?

I know who "We" are.....but I don't know who "I" am. It's a bit distressing.

obviously I am not able to answer your question... but I can relate. It drives me NUTS when I can't figure out who is doing something!

Hiya Elysium!

First of all I wanted to say that I love your new profile pic! Stunningly beautiful!

As for who's writing what, that is very frustrating. I wrote a book about my recovery from anorexia and bulimia and now that I'm aware of the others, I can see a little of all of them throughout. There is a very spiritual personality but I don't know what their name is yet. They haven't come forward. I know you're a very compassionate person so this suggestion may come easy for you. I would recommend being very compassionate with yourself and your alters and gently requesting to know who they are and who is writing. Then waiting patiently for the response to come. Hope this helps,

Love and hugs,
Tara

Hey Elysium ,

Frustrating and upsetting...you think you're finally getting a handle on things, think you finally have got it figured out, that you at a point where you think you can see a pattern/predictability/ability to guess what'll come next...then you get thrown a curve ball that breaks all the 'new rules' and you find yourself back at the start.

It sucks.

We have two energies that it took quite a while (years) to figure out who they were, and both are quite prominent energies in our system. The first we finally figured out is named 'Me'. Because we found it confusing in getting 'Me' as an answer, we didn't click that that was actually Me's name. So we have now given Me a nickname and we call her 'Big M' for capital Me. The other took a long time and we are still figuring her out. She seems to be a blend of 5, and we're still not sure how she operates within, but she is very real with defined boundaries (our inside speak) and is who solely communicates with our mother. She seems to be unreachable inside, but we are acutely aware of her being out front when mother is around. She does not communicate with any of us at all, so she has become Nameless. Some of our youngins like a particular name for her that is a bit 'out there' so she is still Nameless . Nameless is the only one of us that has been 'named' as such.

Maybe the one who is writing is just that, The Writer. Or if it just here that they are writing, are they maybe The Supporter (of outsiders)? There are DID'ers whose insiders are named for their main function ie The Watcher/The Housekeeper/The Manager, and some whose insiders are named for their main emotion ie The Sad One/The Joyful One/The Hurt One. Maybe you could explore this one's main function/emotion a bit further and see if that gives you any further insight to them.

Above all, you are not alone . We are by your side. It might be one of those things that as soon as you stop thinking/worrying about it, the answer will come. Be patient and gentle with all of Elysium. Please keep us updated and let us know how you go...

Take care friend,

kp
