Here's what I found Angie. I think you should be fine. It sounds like Conversion Reaction, or Conversion Disorder just means their reaction to emotional pain manifests itself as physical pain. I could be way off though.

--------------------------
Now formally classified as Conversion Disorder or Somatization Disorder this term referred to mental disorders with physical symptoms thought to occur in reaction to a meaningful or adverse life event.

Also: hysteria, hysterical conversion

Im sure you'll do great! I don't know anything about the disorder, but I'm sure you'll be a good thing for her.

You are doing fine, and remember, you don't have to do it all. If something doesn't feel right or feels troubling, she needs to work with her therapist. And you get to continue being the wonderful peoples you are.

Angie,

I think you'll be great, but remember, if it starts to trigger you, take care of yourself first. Ok?

Hugs,

Jan
