I wanted to share something that I discovered. It's the "Disociative Identity Disorder Sourcebook" by Deborah Bray Haddock. She is a psychologist working in Minneapolis, MN who specializes in DID and is an associate professor. This book has helped my diagnosis of DID become not so scarey. It has a lot of good ideas about how to handle triggers, what to do to stay safe, different counseling techniques. A lot of good information and is an easy read. It has been helpful when I don't know what else to do. It's a nice, comprehensive information guide to have.
(((((safe hugs everyone)))))))

I have this book and it's packed with lots of good information. When ever I start to get confused about something I look it up in this book.

Thank you for this, iamanne.
If I ever get as far as having a diagnosis I will definitely try to get this, assuming it is possible to do so here in the UK. I guess Amazon would be able to get it. |
