Hi,
I'm not going to go into all my symptoms cuz if you're familiar with DPD then you probably know all of them. I've had non-stop DPD since 2005. My question to all of you is if anyone who may be in the NJ/NY area knows of a specialist I could see cuz I haven't been able to find one and I'm kind of getting sick of being told its just depression and anxiety and giving me meds for that that just don't fix anything. I've been on fleuoxtine, xanax, and now effexor, and so far its still "dream a little dream" for me. So if anyone knows of someone I'd be immensely appreciative. Thanks

I dont know about new jersey but here in NY all mental health providers treat all mental disorders including depersonalization problems. medical doctors too treat it because one of the causes for depersonalization is medication problems. some physical health problems also cause a person to depersonalize.

my suggestion contact your medical doctor. they can refer you to a mental health treatment provider in your area that works on depersonalization issues.
Thanks for this!
