I try to keep my littles under control as much as that can be. But the unruly 3 yr old jumped out with my T. Talking the little kid speak and everything, he was cool about it but sooo embarrassing. I was even there working on other issues. My DID isn't an issue.

we agree ! A little one needs to feel safe to come out and talk!

maybe the little is a type of protector so you no talk about what u wanted to?

maybe by letting the little talk, she/he will feel it is safe enough for you to talk about what you need to.

I had no control over when my alters (you call them littles) came out, they had their own way to be and their own job/purposes and came out accordingly...example if things were not safe those that dealt with making sure I and the alters got to safety, those that worked came out to do the work jobs, those that went to school came out when it was time to do schoolwork and go to school, those that dealt with pain came out when the body was in pain, or to inflict pain by those that dealt with disclosures and other "do not tell" issues, those that were there to deal with intimate moments came out during intimate moments, my internal system was not the kind where alters needed to feel loved or safe in order to come out...if that would have been the case they would not have come out when ever I dissociated because I dissociated because I was being traumatized, abused, or encountered triggering events/things/emotions...

My DID was very much an issue for therapy because it interfered with my life, my job, my relationships... by having alters pop out with no control or consent by me. which is what therapy here in NY is for...addressing issues that interfere with your life, job, relationships, happiniess, and health...

Sounds like the little one felt safe
I have some pretty wild little ones who come out with T. 2 are autistic. Shes good with them thank goodness

Back in the 80s and 90s I had a great T that my littles came out at will with, he was very good and careful with them. We could talk to him about anything. They had their own specific jobs to. Now they provide safety for me, I'm never alone. I think I need them a lot.
