Do people without DID think about suicide often? Like how they would do it. Is this something "normal" people think about? I don't know who else to ask without freaking them out.

DID is not a prerequisite for being suicidal. Anyone whether they have a mental disorder or not can have suicidal thoughts and attempt suicide.

example people with depression can think about dying and how to do it. so can people who are perfectly normal and have just had a bad day.

I know someone with no mental disorders, their spouse died one day and that night they killed their self just because they felt they did not want to continue in this world with out their spouse..

I know people who have gone through assisted suicide (medical suicide) because they had a very painful and terminal disease not because they had DID or any other mental disorder....

I know some children who were playing pretend and one pretended what they saw on tv and it lead to their accidentally committing suicide just because they were imitating the tv show...

I know a child who tried to kill their self as a retaliation against the parents by screaming Im going to kill myself if you dont let me do this, and the child did it just to make the parent feel bad for saying no.

my point is you dont have to have DID in order to have suicidal thoughts, or think about dying.
Thanks for this!

Of someone is depressed, yes. It is quite normal. Most people have suicidal thoughts at some point in their lives.

I was very depressed this morning. Like in a weird way. It felt like I had been depressed a long time but I just woke up that way. That is when these thoughts crossed my mind. Not like I would do it but it not like I wouldn't do it either. I am not sure if it was a part or I don't know what it was. I will mention it to my t. Thanks.
