There are random times that I feel water droplets on my body when no water is present. I have experienced this for as long as I can remember. The feeling typically will not go away unless I physically "wipe" them off. My therapist suggested perhaps this is a body memory from abuse experienced in water; when he said this I had a fractured flashback but am still experiencing this a lot. Just curious if anyone else has felt anything like this. It's usually on my arms and the top of my head, but also on my legs at times. Thanks -

I have had this problem but with me it wasnt a water memory nor anything to do with my alternate personalities. in fact all my personalities enjoyed water due to the type of abuse caused the feeling of being dirty and needing to wash/bath/get clean/ be in water. therefore water was not a trauma memory for me it was something that was enjoyable calming and something both the alters and I sought out/needed.

for me water sensations that were so annoying I needed to try and wipe them off was ....

a medication withdrawal induced hallucination.

I have also had this happen when I was sleep deprived.

And it also happened with my manic or depression induced psychosis.

Another time when this happened was when I was in a room with people who were smoking weed. I ended up having this drug induced reaction from receiving their second hand smoke from the weed.
