Holidays are challenging for everyone, DID or not, right? I am having a dickens of a time (ha! seasonal reference!) being okay. Lot's of divergent impulses, thoughts sensations arising in many different environments. It's freaking exhausting. And on top of it, I'm having trouble getting to my safe place inside. Any suggestions for enduring the next few weeks of triggers?

I pick ONE holiday event to attend and decline alll others.. I don't decoraate or pllay christmas music. I don't feell obligated to buy gifts for relatives I never see.
In doing aall this I cut triggers to a minimum.

I stay in my cave as much as I can (and I decline most invites especially if the person isn't kind ) (for example the step ***** ) (but having done this for a long time I now feel more alone )

I usually only go to the events I really have to.. like christmas day at my parents. Other than that I stay at home and mostly keep to myself.. its just easier that way and no one can hurt us.. thinking of you all
