Ever had an alter try to take over the system, force himself in and become ruler so to speak? Last night, a mean one tried to take over. He did for most of the night. He was trying to dominate the thinking, he was intense telling us were all not real, that we are fakers play acting, to shut up. He had pressure.

I slipped out this morning and he's locked up. I don't think he did any damage, I can't remember.

alters taking over...um not to be rude or anything but thats the basics of what DID is....having alternate personalities that take over control to do their job, purpose reason for being created...

example when ever I or anyone in my internal system of alters were triggered or could not handle or do something another alter would take over control to do that according to if the problem was something they handled....

trixie would take over any time there was a sexual issue to deal with, Rainy would take over when ever I or someone with in the system was experiencing sadness/depression, sunny would take over control when ever something happy was happening. they all assumed the position of boss naturally when they were in control of the body. Sometimes there was a conflict of my being triggered and more than one alter would be needed. this would result in more than one alter taking control in what is called the revolving door effect where switching from one to the other constantly as if in battle for control but again this is just the basics of what DID is (alters taking control over the body and internal system when needed)

I think they mean take over as in take over the system, like a ruler or a boss.. Yes, that's happened to me several times. Even I have done it, right down to calling everyone else fake

I have an alter who I don't like much who I believe is fighting me to be the dominant personality. As in, she wants to be my daytime functioning alter. I'm reading the autobiography "I Am We" which is very interesting. It states that its common to have a sinister alter. In the book the woman ended up making peace with the bad alter, which made the bad alter calm down and stop causing harm. I can't co-host or speak to my alters, so its difficult for me to befriend my sinister alter. Believe me when I say this chick is evil and I sometimes fear its a demon.

I recently heard a little girls voice in my head that said, "blah blah blah daddy." I couldn't understand the first part, so I asked her to repeat herself. I still couldn't understand, but it freaked me out. I don't know of a child alter and I KNOW my dad never hurt me. What I think is my evil alter was playing a trick on me again.

Anyway, that's just part of my ongoing battle with my dark side. I'm glad you won your dark side and hope to continue winning the battle.

There is so much crazy going on in my life ATM that anything can happen. I'm in the middle of a separation, financial issues, identity issues, and the list keeps going. Problem is it's never a one alter job because it's like one can't feel, another can't smile, another can't laugh, another can't see clearly, another can't cry, it takes all of us to make a single entity.

He was just so rude and scary we didn't know what to think. He only had one mission, one emotion, one vision. He was crazed. Oh well, we just got to keep an eye out for those that wants to ruin in the name of progress.

You are so right! I have so many issues that it wouldn't take much for one that thinks they knows try to do what they do. It starts out as a cavalier notion and then wham we're off to the races- but it was so rude, so anti-system even though it was for the betterment of the system even though it was the wrong way to do it. It was an older alter from the earlier days when I was a mean person with a driven purpose. He's just so not today.

OMG, I forgot I wrote this one! Now I know who it is because he tried again the other night! The Denial Alter.

I think he's triggered when I start feeling tired of this side of MI, when I have doubts if it's all real or not. I'm the same way with bipolar, but I don't have somebody trying to possess me to make bipolar not real! It's like I'm asking for it. Looks like I got to quit doubting if I don't want to see and fight that meany again!
