I'm just wondering, if it's not too personal. What are the names of your alters and are they a kid or adult? What's their story???

There are quite a few of them, each with their own names. I'll share some of thier names. Each person chose their own.

Shara-protector
Isabelle- peace-maker/ negotiator/care-taker.
Jillian- Angry one.
Layla-sexualized one.
Megan- efficient, let's-get-things done type.
Chase- Athletic one.
Alison, and Abigail, or littles.

We have 25 named ones so far, with hundreds in the wings, so I hear. It's gotten to a point where we started using their job as their name just to cut down on the remembering work. We also have others that served in the past but not needed today so they are inert as memory folders. Here a few.

Carpenter does the hands on work at work, 45, gruff strong, dark haired
Steve is the motivator, white, 35, thin, dress clothes
Sarah does the cooking, 25, blond, petite, thin, exceptional palate
Susie does the home life, blond, little over weight, sensibly dressed, not concerned about looks
Trebor is our musician, 28, guitarist, long black hair, black jeans concert T, rocker
Rosalie is our cleaner, she's can't stand grit. Hispanic, 32, focused, apron,
Steven is our male public relations officer, 32, always smiling big, he's everyone's buddy
Barbie (Twin) is our fem sexual deviant, 24, black hair, petite,
Bobbie (Twin) likes to dress up sexy, like, 24, black hair, petite,
Elysha is our explainer, 26, long hair, round glasses, frail, wears a blouse and skirt,
Gangster is our underworld liaison, 38, dark, not nice, dark haired, sinister looking, where's a suit
Freddy is our male sex activist, 32, dark curly haired, hairy, white, side burns,
Gizmo is our I.T. Guy, nerdy, skinny, glasses, 28, dark haired, acne, smart
Mechanic does our mechanicing, coveralls, carries a wrench, short, belly, dark haired white
Etc....

There's our littles and teens, Timmy 8, Karen 13, Julie 16, Wesley 5, Alexis 19, Chrissy 18, Bobby 5. Some have jobs, but why some alters are here are unclear.

my alters already had names based on their jobs, purposes, reasons they were created. the names were part of their creation. some did not have names and we (my treatment providers and I) did not name them due to my locations laws about false memory syndrome and treatment is supposed to focus on healing not on causing a client to name, call out or other activities that can cause a client to do these things for the attention/pleasure of the treatment provider rather than working with what is and taking care of existing problems. when my treatment provider did encounter one with out a name that one remained nameless and we discussed them as "the nameless one that said this or did that" in short we stuck with the facts not adding fiction to it by placing names upon them that dont exist or is unknown at that moment.

Wow, you guys have some interesting ones. Especially you AlwaysChanging. I like the descriptions, I could picture them in my mind. I'm also an artist so I like picturing them.

Thanks. Considering how are system is, naming them is a must. Everyone picks their name, but when a new one emerges and doesn't know what to be called, it's given a temp name just to identify till they change it later if they want. I know we've got more but, it's up to them when they present.

As far as the description goes, we can't really see ourselves, but our perception or mental image (maybe fantasy) of ourselves is listed, after all, it's not the one we see in the reflection! Lol
