Just want to talk about the last few weeks. I'm DID. Not on any psch meds any more but on serious pain meds. Last month called for refill. Was told my doc was out of the office for a week + nurse would send request to another Dr. 3 days later this obnoxious nurse calls + says my request was refused. I have to come in + c my doc. OK. give me an appointment. First opening in 5 weeks! No way Ill b in the hospital by then. Meanwhile pharmacy calls + says 2 of my other long time meds need Dr. permission--new year. But the dr. refused refills. Call dr's office to c y. The nurse politely asks to give her a minute to pull up my chart. Her attitude completely changes. Her response.. I told u before u have to c yr doc..ull have to wait for yr appointment...she hangs up. OK she's used up my patience.. detoxing +hormone replacement wearing off!! Called the head admin. She says my doc will be in in the morning. Called asking for a call back from my doc that day. No call back.OK..be like that.So I call my insurance + get a nurse. She says go to ER now. Feeling cruddy not going to sit in ER for hours.2 days later, insurance calls+ says they got me an appointment in 2 days.Make it back to bed to find my 9 lb Papillon has kept my spot warm. He has a degenerating disc + gets back spasms a few times a year so he understands. Suddenly he has a 13 second attack. Give him his meds. Hobbling back to bed.He doesn't come in. I call him, he comes walking in normally on his front legs but his back legs wobbling uncontrollably. Off to his ER. Apologize to everyone saying I had a bad reaction to a med. They take wonderful care of him. I ask if they have a Vet I can c! They write everything down for me + help us to the car.We go to our dr.the next morning. As we r signing in doc walks into lobby, c us + hurries us in. "U r not looking well..what's going on?" "U refused my meds." He leaves for literally 2 minutes comes back w 2 nurses.IVs r going in, blood pressure, getting my blood tested, shots etc. He's talking but we r keeping r eyes on all these people. An alter hears him saying more than twice that he didn't refuse he was out of the office. The alter kept replying 'they said u were in.' These r the facts I know....what I'm now getting is all the problems created for the alters + their reactons..Far worse..Called my T + we r going 3 times a week for awhile. The idea was to keep the system quiet + deal w it in sessions. Contrary to Yoda....not doing but trying. I keep wondering how a 'normal' person could have handled this. Thankful I could dissociate + had alters to take care of our dog. BTW guess whose doctor called the next day + every 2 days since to c how their patient is doing?
