One way I've looked at it forever is that I'm a robot, and that there is a crew of operators that takes shifts running the controls. Their personalities shining through when they wear the headset and microphone while operating their own stylized personal body movement program.

Hmmm, sounds psychotic and delusional

I'm like a bear. I tend to hibernate and only come out when things are good (meaning my mood) and to eat.

I'm not very good on my own, I'm the splitter, I will try to describe a (normal) day. Lacy takes care of Baby Blue at night so in the morning Nicole will get him so Lacy can split with me and we go to work.
So Bradley will go to Misty and Ugene to hang out and play.
So Lacy is with me, Nicole has Baby Blue all good.
Until Zach decides to go play with Bradley and Ugene,
Well Zach starts to pick on Ugene and Bradley is crying
So Nicole passes Blue to Lacy so she can comfort Bradley
Well they forgot to leave someone with me IB so I'm like
Staring off into space. Thankfully Lacy seen what happened
And came back with Blue and split in. So I'm working with Lacy
and an infant oh boy. Finally Nicole got Blue from Lacy is all good.
Anyone functioning with DID deserves A big pat on the back.
That's all I have to say about that. Thank you for listening.

I am pretty even-keeled.
22 is more aggressive, speaks her mind, likes to solve problems with alcohol, and is better at boundaries with the world than I am.
10 is similar to 22, but is more wild and less adept with words; her automatic attack (protect) reflexes are faster in situations, but otherwise she is very communicative.
6 is pretty shy. she's sweet and likes to color, but she is very fast and will react in flight when 10 gives the command to run. She's also good at watching for openings to escape from in hospitals and very good at hiding. she think's it's pretty funny.
Our actual Kiya person seems to be MIA... sometimes I see a quick moment of her, then gone again. She's more spiritual, thoughtful, intuitive, and more prone to calm down a situation, while I am a do-er.
3 is also in the fight/flight range - often non-verbal.
All are good at taking care of themselves/us
All are good at combining forces against adversaries.
There are others, but we don't see them often...
