Does anyone else have alters that never sleep? I have a few that continually cause me problems with getting a good nights sleep. Even with various medications to help, they dont get to sleep. I can wake up any time lf the night, and they are talking or singing or arguing. I have tried to get them to sleep but nothing works. They will take naps during the day. But they are afraid to sleep at night, i guess because of abuse.

yup we have literally hundreds of them! and since we are firmly non-medication unless it is completely natural and/or holistic usually insomnia is alive and well

How true! We always wake up in the middle of the night tossing and turning because the others are wide awake yapping. After an hour or so, the body manages to get back to sleep. Like right now, I would love to go down again. Yaaaawn!

They definitely have different sleep cycles and that's tough. The ones who need naps get really tired when older ones have an appropriate late evening. The next day is hard.

We have this problem, as well. 2a.m somehow became the perfect time to start resolving issues, and arguing. It's really annoying. Here you are trying to sleep, and there are voices in your head going at it!

I have been having difficulty sleeping for about a week. I start to feel like I can't breath and freak out. I have even slept on the couch a few nights because I couldn't fall asleep in my bed. I know I have someone who sleeps. After being in therapy for about two years my sleeping pattern changed. I don't know why. Our part who is the good sleeper is still here but I don't think every one is supporting her like they used to. It used to be "it is time to sleep" and that was it. Now it gets lost in cross talk. I also have times when I will just fall asleep. I can be working, driving, gardening etc and I will suddenly feel an overwhelming need to sleep. It's not the same feeling of needing to sleep like at night. It is more a sudden need to close my eyes. This happens even if I have gotten plenty of sleep. It feels more like recharging or resetting. Than we wake up in ten to fifteen minutes and feel fine. I don't know what it is but I have had it at least two decades.

I woke up between 2 and 2:30 a.m. for over a year. I started to meditate since sleep wasn't happening. That was a helpful alternative.

We've been trying to get drunk so we can sleep to sunrise. Problem. We still wake up at 2-3 craving water and tossing and turning with everyone yapping.
We sleep in the living room because our partner snores, and we are divorcing. So, we have shout outs. |
