Hi Shadows,

I am feeling vulnerable to my current pain and my past trauma which also equals current pain. I am feelng vulnerable to the thought of a close relationship with my T. I am feeling vulnerable to my son's illness and his pain....Oh my there's lots of vulnerability there.....

What are you feeling vulnerable to?

I think what they will relate is that any type of questioning calls into question their very existence? And from there it questions (to them) any validity of their trauma, which caused the disorder?

I think also, and they will share maybe, that it's especially touchy when it comes from someone who is (or someone who is portraying to be new) to PC. Strangers scare their littles, sometimes cause their protectors to emerge, and thus cause more havoc within their system. (Let me know folks if I said anything wrong, ok?)

Perhaps it would be better to discuss this in the psychotherapy forum, or better yet, read the information on the links provided throughout their DD forum, and you will find the answers to even more than basic questions.

Hi, shadows.

The word vulnerable in the description of "The Garden" forum was speaking in a general sense, even though it's specifically spoken to those living with a dissociative disorder. It wasn't meant to say that there's one "issue" to point to a vulnerability as there can be many...from yesterday as well as today.

I hope that helps.

I wonder too.

And although I once, long long ago, said in a triggered moment "I dont belong here" or some such words, what I meant is "I'm not sure if I belong here"..... I am very very bad not to be politically correct at all times.

In any case I do believe Sky and some others have no diagnosed extreme dissociative disorder, and I personally believe she is a good resource here, not to mention a great, genuine, caring person.

Thanks

I dont like questions, personally, when the other person doesn't disclose themselves.

PS Sky's reply is Spot On.

I do not like my very existence being questioned. I think that is "normal".

Thanks.
