I was in my therapists waiting room last when a young girl finishing her session entered the waiting room with her therapist where her mother was waiting. She announced that next week she would get to play with playdough. My little exclaimed (outloud), "Hey, how come I don't ever get to play with playdough in session!"
I grinned, played it off like a joke, and I got a few indulgent smiles. I brought it up to my therapist a few minutes later when our session began as an example of how we avert potential problems when we switch at inappropriate times. She seemed more interested in the fact that we don't have any playdough... I just came back from this weeks session AND SHE BOUGHT US SOME PLAYDOUGH!!!!! And it's ours to keep! I'm so excited.... ![]() |

Yaay for the Playdough.... and I so get the "play it off as..." For we've all gotten quite professionally good at it if you ask me.
