I sold my mobile home and will be moving in two weeks. I have no idea where I will be living. I think I can stay with my son for a little but I get on his nerves. My sister would let me sleep on the couch for a time but she has a husband and I will be in the way. I am a little concerned In the past I have always found an apartment. I am hoping for the same good fortune. I also have a small dog so that also limits my options. I had considered giving him to a rescue but I can't. He helps me get up and out when I don't feel like. it. He is a good boy who get treated very well I wouldn't want to have a family get him and not give him the love and careing he deserves. So it's him and I. I am still sure I will land on my feet as long as I keep searching. And I will.

Wow Lucidity11, that sounds really scary. Are you ok? Im glad you made the decision to keep the dog - I know Im alive today because of the love of several pets over the years. Their need for routine has also kept me safe when I could provide for them what I couldn't provide for myself.

I am sending you a whole world of best of luck wishes. I hope the perfect home for you and your dog comes along.

I was in a similar position to you a few years ago, where I was going to be homeless imminently. This song kept me cheery through the harder evenings whilst I waited for my dream home to come along. And it did come along

Hello lucidity11: Good luck with your search! There is a mobile home park in our village. It has been here many years. It has now been sold & the property is to be redeveloped. So everyone who lives there has a year to move. By law the new property owners have to pay the residents something to help them move. But it's not a lot in the whole scheme of things. Many of the residents are seniors who are on fixed incomes.

We also have a small dog. We live in a townhome so we don't have a fenced yard. Consequently we take him for at least two long walks a day. We say he's our fitness trainer! We could never give him up either. I wish you both well...

You've been on my heart all day! moving. I read your post this morning and I prayed that God would provide what you needed and make a way for you and his provision. I hope that doesn't sound too spiritual.

My heart has felt what you are walking through. That was the reply I heard. God bless you with his best. I know in my heart he has an amazing agenda for you!!

Hey Lucidity, just thought Id check in - How are you? I hope you and your dog have managed to find somewhere are settling in ok.

Its about six years since I was in your position. I struggle to believe how much my life has improved since then. After forty years Im finally living the life I always dreamed of - or getting there fast, anyway! And non of it would have happened if I hadn't been where you are now x

I want to thank you all for your heart felt thoughts and wishes. In spite of my bad credit I was able to get an apartment in a nice 55 and over community the takes small dogs. Everything fell into place and at the moment I am unpacking. Thank you for asking. I feel happy here. Although I am starting to not want to go outside but I think that is just anxiety from all the activity and expense. I made my therapy appointment yesterday and I should make my appointment tomorrow. Thanks again for all the good wishes.

that is great. glad you found a place. i had a situation similar almost a year ago where i sold a place i owned with a sibling but then had nowhere to go. i was scared i would end up having to stay with that same sibling but at the last minute was able to get a place with my dad co-signing a mortgage so i had an affordable, safe place to be instead of bad situations like in the past because i had no other choices.

it is so nice to have things work out and be good.

Great! How wonderful that opportunity opened up for you.
I moved over the weekend too. One of our cats made the move with us, the other has gone missing.
