I can see some of you are on here right now. I am going to the chat rooms so if anyone wants to join me come on in. We can chat about making a chat time.

i would join chat but im a bit bashful about it i guess because i am going through so much and just dont want to hurt anyone by being a bother or nuisance..

its easier to post a thread and then run away you know, in chat i have to try to remain focused and focus/attention is really difficult for me..

There used to be scheduled chats that were lead by someone (a community member). From memory they had a set topic to discuss at each chat. Stuff like grounding skills etc.
I am not proposing to lead a group chat with a set topic... more like a time to meet together just to chat in general. Something not much different to posting on the board, it's just that don't have to wait for replies.

No pressure... if it is not something you feel comfortable with it's okay not to join.
On the other hand it would be okay to enter the chat room and not participate much (or at all) too.

I like this idea. I don't like the topic chats because they are more like lectures, and you're not allowed to talk about anything but the topic that has been decided for you. This is usually some web site or something that is decided before the chat. I used to like PTSD chat because it wasn't like that. It was just a group of people with similar problems coming into a chat together and talking. I liked that. Then it was changed when someone new took it over. I was very sad at loosing that safe space. I tried to explain how I felt about it, but I think that just made it worse. So, I just stay away. I go to Coffeehouse still sometimes.

Anyway, just saying, I'd be in for a safe space chat if that ever happened.
Thanks for this!

Do you mean EST? The latter half of that time period is good for me too.

I wonder if 3-4 pm next Saturday is a time that would suit a bunch of people? That seems to be the best time that will also suit those who live outside of the US... any other non US people here who would like to join?
Thanks for this!
