It's an obsession....the biggest reality t.v. ever.....and it consumes our life for the last months!
I can't wait till the election is over because it has gotten us all freaked out! Too much amazement, fear, angry, bewilderment, disbelief....conspiracy....everyone has an opinion based on a central belief and everyone can't get enough in search of their moment of satisfaction. The election is triggering us baaaaaaaaaaad. Omg...6 more days and the immediate stress melts away. We are in a constant state of anxiety and suspension....next best described like sitting next to a time bomb wondering when it's going to go off. Trigger warning...

Cheers to hoping that one the election is over it will ease up some of the stress. Kind of waiting for the whole thing to be over as well in all honesty. Sorry things are a bit tough right now with the smiling but we admire your tenacity for holding on.

I think this election has caused people stress and anxiety... I too will be happy once it's done, but give it a year and people will be campaigning all over again. |

Are politics this nasty and extreme in the UK?

No, there's not so much intense coverage, because our election processes are shorter and it's a far smaller population so quicker to vote. There is a lot of vitriol in the media but we don't have so many extremes. Or maybe the press just moves on to celebrity gossip faster!

Another difference in my country is that the media isn't biased. They report the facts as they stand, and don't engage in sensationalism. I think a major contributing factor to the US election debacle is that the media bias feeds into personal biases, so that no one person can get an accurate overview of the political process. It's a mess!

to be honest it scare's me that it comes down to Clinton or Trump, because let's face it none of the third party candidates have a chance in this country to win. As i've said for years now this country does NOT have a two party system. we have one party with two faces. I'll honestly be glad when 2020 is here and we can try again, presuming our country still exists.
