Sometimes it's hard to believe that the voices in my head are other minds. They can get actually quite funny at times.
Ever feel like you created them? Sometimes it's like all imaginary....but the more I write this the more riled up I'm feel getting, lol. |

Yes, you did create them! But why was it that you created yourself in this way? The research says people create themselves this way because dissociation blah blah abuse blah blah blah protection blah...

how do you know if the voice(s) in your head are not yours?
like, i always thought i was talking to myself, you know? therapist asked me one time how i know they are mine, and all i could think to say is i just assumed they were... |

I just know? Ummm....
- they don't sound like me. - They think and feel and say and want (and do) things that are definitely not things I think or feel or say or want (or do). - they tell me they are definitely not me - they know things I do not know (like things that can be confirmed by others) - they have different handwriting - they like different things to me - they can be completely different to me (in mannerisms, affect etc) - I know I am not them! Stuff like that. |
