I hate hate hate saying I have alters!!!.... It sounds so stupid coming out of my mouth...to me first then I can only imagine what it sounds like because I don't want understanding or sympathy.
I thought about this....I feel a more appropriate way of explaining is I have altered states....or ways of being. For me...a train track scenario rings much truer. Like my mind is a hundred of tracks, and we switch tracke to do something different. Each track has its own train that is seperate from the other trains. So as the train rolls....we do. Hows that? |

Funny you should use that association. In the thick of our DID denial days a front one used exactly the same analogy to describe her 'adhd' mind. (current t is skeptical of the adhd diagnosis and thinks it is all DID. Ex T too, come to think of it).

Hee hee. It makes the easiest sense for us...how many times we were accused of having a "one track mind"! Lol
