So here's the deal. I was looking through some old photos last night..partly because I was sad and reminiscing
![]() Here are the bullet ed posts of this theory. - that with DID we all have a "covergirl/boy" part. I am -wondering if others agree? -This is the part that deals with known/ posed unavoidable photos. Family, holidays, school, events and such. -I noticed this when looking through old childhood photos, that every posed photo or one that was noticed before shot. Has the exact same fake smiling expression. Frozen in time throughout out life. Always the same. -Has anyone else noticed this? - the second part was kinda a bit of a fun game...Name that part/ claim your photos! -this had to do with candid shots, selfies (for the parts who are a bit self absorbed..myself included ![]() -so I decided to look through candid photos from over the last decade + - to see who I could identify (those that I have at times or currently held some Co concoiusness with) -see if any parts came out during process to claim unknowns and or correct my opinions. - Reviewed results this morning. They were mixed but some fascinating things can to light! - Has anyone else attempted this before? -I have to go atm, but I'll be back to share some of what we found and an very interested about anyone else experiences and thougts,as well! ~S♡☆

example one day during picture day in elementary school it was storming out so rainy was in control at the moment the school photographer took the picture. one day shopping Thelma was in control looking at intimate wear. A friend happened had bought a camera that day and film and so thelma was the one that ended up in the picture. m point I did not have an alter that took control any time a camera was noticed or official camera time. thinking about it now it would have been quite funny if I had since for over half my life time or more stores, public buildings and street intersections here in my city have been equipped with video and still cameras. I can see it now walk out my door switch into the camera alter turn the corner go back to normal get half way down the block and switch into camera alter, all the way down the what ever blocks to my job where there are street cams and store\alley cams. then at work go in the door switch into camera alter, make a stop in rest room, normal, come out enter elevator switch into camera girl, step out of elevator normal turn the corner to the waiting room and switch into camera girl, my point I would not have been able to live my life, job, do everything that needs to be done for my college classes through out all those years, even during my childhood I would not have been able to have the friends, do my school work, attend school functions you name it I was switching into a camera alter every time it was picture time. the name your alter claim your photo... my therapist and I never did that activity, though now that I am integrated I can look at past photos and remember when that picture was taken and under what situations which makes it possible for me to know which alters were in control during that photo op. |

I hate photos and mirrors. Period.
I have no selfies except for the ones I do me.... What I see are strangers that are so not me doing things and posing for shots I never did or can even begin to remember. I might as well be looking at a yearbook without me in it.....but yet...there is a little bit of familiarity....but still like me no way. ![]() |

We do have a scowler growler at cameras person. We do not like having camera pointed at us. When people bring out a camera to take a pcture we scowl and growl or turn away or GLARE. We do not like to do what we are supposed to do in front of cameras. We will not smile. We do not like cameras. It happens every time a camera gets pointed at us. Most pictures of us are scowly growly will not smile for you ones. We get angry at cameras. We do not like them.

Hmm okay, the above needed to be said apparently. Now that that is out of the way....
Yes, my DID friend and I can see our alters (and eachothers) in our childhood photos. (I can see mine, she can see hers). As stated above many of my own are of growly angry hate the camera faces. But some are not and in those I can retrospectively recognize a few different ones in us. My DID friend can also recognize her own selves in her own photos. When our DID friend and I got back in contact with each other last year we showed each other old photos of our nearly ten years of friendship together, and we could instantly recognize each others alters in each others pics. When alters know each other really well it is easy to spot them. In our skype conversation today one of our alters who hasn't yet been out during a skype call with this friend was out, and without missing a beat our friend recognized who it was. We think its kinda easy to tell who is who. When you know what you're looking for, that is! |

There are so few pictures of us as children, we used to question if we even existed. In the few pictures that have surfaced in the last however many years, we have been able to identify three of us in those pictures. Most delightfully, we had the chance to see Het (now Tay) smiling in a single picture. Until then no one had seen him smile. Quite beautiful. Unfortunately the rest of the images left things to be desired and were more than triggery to those who viewed the pictures. I do not know if we have since set fire to those picture or simply put them out with the trash.
During teen/adult years the only one of us I can think of who would tolerate cameras would be Charlotte. It is fair to note though that our last two hosts proper meet the criteria for an autism dx and they both wear the same 'aspie face' in their pictures (when forced to take them). No, West also went on a selfie binge for awhile some time back. She used an actual camera since we lack a cell phone. She did, if I recall correctly, look different than the aspie face hosts in her pictures. Don't hold me to that one though. Amsterdam
