Does anybody else have alters emerge based on characters they've observed? I can't help but to relate to that Spice Girl on AGT Mel B. Her voice is in the background pushing mine. The accent and choice of words...the British laugh and accent...

She's my idol and can't but help to emulate her personage....even though I'm just in my teenage years. My name is Shelby...get it? Lol

Then there is that Darcy with her puppet. She's so awesomly cool.

Anyhow....how can this be?

I have someone who sounds like a guy I watched on tv. Coincidentally, I looked to this character to learn how to help raise a younger sibling because of my little brother and I being on our own so much. I don't know if it's related but it's a thing. This person doesn't always sound like the character unless he's upset and he acts almost nothing like the character, but seems to share the same views.

no none of my alters were like imaginary friends or characters. though I did have alters that were the embodiment of my native american cultural background.... animalistic in their names, and sense of agency (of course they knew they were not actually animals because they resided with in a human body)

example my alter Eagle was very hyper aware of everything that was going on like an eagle sees everything, and could run fast like an eagle flies fast, had long sharp fingernails to fight with like the eagle has sharp talons, she bit when cornered just like the eagle bites to protect itself.
