I keep trying to explain facts to some folks. I am teaching economics, and I keep trying to teach facts to some students who insist just the opposite. No matter what they will not relate to the truth. They go with what ever is popular. What can this condition be called? Cognitive Dissonance?

Is this for us to suggest possibly, teaching is what teachers do. If there isn't an understanding suggest a tutor. Are you teaching with an ailment of your own?

My understanding of economics is that is an ever evolving set theories. Perhaps you are not explaining your theory in a way your students understand? Or maybe they just don't agree with you.
