It keeps our system focused on a task up to 10 hours a day 6 days a week: an escape from the brooding about our mental fragmentation. Drinking, shopping and sleep take up the rest of our time. We have returned to a male dominant system which keeps us out of the public eye.
We stay so busy that we have minimal time to reflect in even though the knowledge is an undertoll. This has also given us more of a emotional stability for it keeps the emotional ones at bay...we are much more calmer for it. Sure the blah blah blag goes on, but life has our hands full to stay controlled. I just slept in and soon to go shopping to get ready for another work week. Staying the body tired keeps us to stay subdued...not having the energy for irrational emotional and mental come aparts. This has always worked for us and will do so to when its not needed any longer. Will it work for other people ? I dont know...I just know that this is how we manage the moment to moment living. Plus side is that we are able to easily pay the bills. Sure call it avoidance: but that's our candy to as close to normal living that we can get. |

I wouldn't normally under certain circumstances not want work either. Avoidance is often what we need to survive it is what it is. Especially being florid there is alot, certain categories want to please they need to understand that there was folks here before and after that just have other needs. Kids and telling folks what to do shouldn't be the only aim. For us though, since there is ssi /ssdi we have to remain focused on what it tells us to do for therapy sake. Although I wonder if there is a way out of that because it is becoming too serious for some in those categories and those in the external world whom works as wellness folks

I get what you are saying. Me and my system maintain our best functioning when working too. I rely on work to keep me on an even keel. My system is designed to give the appearance of normal functioning, so when I go to work the work alters automatically switch in and do their jobs.
Once we leave work at the end of the day it is different story. During weekends and vacation time it is a different story. Those are the times I (and functioning) falls apart. Sometimes it is easier to go with what works best. |

Don't ever allow a therapist or their agenda to take over the system. It will seem like you going for their jobs and the pieces, which mean unless that is achieved, isn't what is the best interest continous functioning. It isn't required to stage a death or break down to get certain alters here. I appauld the efforts of system and those that actually acknowledge what is ultimately important, because bad therapy is real. It is you all that actually help keep hope alive that everyone isn't getting done wrong.

I will not take more then 2 days off, period. Can’t. Or we go nutz like we did in the past here too. Others take over screwing up our life. Got to keep it simple and productive. |
