Does it matter what the thought is or just that it's not normal to have such thoughts? When I say though, I mean one that was out of the blue, and had bad intent, (DID part) but the aftermath has been very serious. Is it a threat? If you think threat why? No details will be given, just want general sense. Thanks

I am not sure of the context to what you mean. Do you mean a thought was had and the internal reaction to it was very strong...as in the thought was taken as a threat to the system? And if s, was it a direct threat (X will happen to you) or indirect (the thought was so horrifying that it was internally defended against as though it was an outright attack)?
Or do you mean a thought was had within the system and this thought was communicated to an external person who then perceived it as an actual threat?

This would be the closest answer.

Thoughts are just thoughts, we have all kinds of them, and they are harmless. It is what we DO with them that makes the difference. Telling someone else about them is an action, this is a DOing, so it no longer is a thought, it is an action. Actions can be harmful. Choosing carefully who to tell can be important. A good T can handle hearing all the different thoughts, because that is their job. A friend, or family member, may not be able to handle it, and may find it threatening. So, thoughts are harmless, actions like telling about those thoughts can be threatening to others, besides a T.
Thanks for this!

I've had that kinda thing happen to me before and it's no fun. I have a not so inner inner teenager who is a s*** stirrer, to say the least. I have required police intervention because of this on a few occasions. Yeah, when thoughts become words that others can hear, they can be considered threats.

I know about this with DID, if i don't know ur convo, it can be loads and loads of things that gets said then it can be threatning if you are surfacing doing a job and I don't know it . It is some of symptoms that will make you understand

How are you going with this, just2b? I myself wouldn't consider a thought to be a threat, but I guess it depends on context. If someone reacted to thoughts I shared with them as actual threats when they absolutely weren't I can see how that would potentially have some really devastating consequences. I hope you are okay.
