My Dr. and therapist wouldn't listen to me when I brought it up. The Dr. in the hospital didn't want to talk about it. I've had it for 40 years and believe severe depression did it to me. I can't communicate when I feel unreal and detached.

Grounding skills might help with those feelings of derealization. Mindfulness practice might help too. Becoming more physically connected to self and surroundings helps me when I feel those kind of symptoms.

It was constant over 40 years, every waking minute. Just like my depression. When my depression lifted in February I started to feel more attached to myself and could feel things. It started at age 13 out of the blue and I couldn't communicate.

Are you taking anything for your depression? I definetly would be working on that first if it is the cause.

Yes, my depression lifted for only the second time in 40 years. But the med is causing severe agitation. Need to find a good doctor asap.
