Sorry if not allowed...please remove if it is....
I get her blog PODS (Positive Outcome for Dissociative Survivors) on FB, and in one she was talking about boundaries, or the lack there of....and putting other peoples problems first and denying herself...rendering her a victim to other peoples emotions and demand...... She also went on to say she suffered 17 years of child abuse, much just the way I did. The parallels are uncanny because I too was always on hand for the other person, denying myself of any outside or inside support, always putting the other person’s needs and wants first... I always wanted to help the hurting, comfort the wrought, but also catered to the healthy in whatever they needed- whilst always never looking in to my mental and physical health, always avoiding and neglecting my pain and issues... surviving from breakdown to breakdown....hence the physical and mental wreckage of an emotional and mentally disabled life. And looking at the ways she writes...she writes quite nicely. Truthfully....I would just glance at it here and there when I scrolled, but this one hit home pretty well in the first few paragraphs. Now I’m very interested. Thought I’d share. ![]() |

I mean her experiences are much like unto my own....and she’s published and willing to share her therapy....I guess it’s a lot about hope.
