One day I was reading a post and the replies when I cam across reply that resonated with me and was very eloquent. When I looked at who wrote it I was shocked to see it was me! I just stared at it in disbelief as I have no memory of it. I went back into all my post to read them, some from 3 years ago, and there are many I can not believe I wrote.

When a child’s emotional needs are not met and a child is repeatedly hurt and abused, this deeply and profoundly affects the child’s development. Wanting those unmet childhood needs in adulthood. Looking for safety, protection, being cherished and loved can often be normal unmet needs in childhood, and the survivor searches for these in other adults. This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors. |

I experienced similar things in the past.On a different forum I one day had PM's from someone that I had obviously been conversing with for awhile.I had no clue who they were though and had no memory of it.It shocked me.I wasn't sure what to do so I replied and acted like nothing was out of the ordinary. My T called it "bumping into myself" and thought it was a good thing because I was becoming aware of my dissociative experiences.
So even though you were shocked maybe it's good that you're able to recognize there's some disconnection going on? |

I too have a crappy memory, and come to find out that Lamictal doesn’t help none.
I used to get bothered over finding things that don’t register and or draw absolutely no connection in my mind, then came this internet thing. I’ve gotten used to seeing threads started and posts posted that didn’t come from me but from another part. Things laying around my apartment that I’ve nothing to do with. I just sigh because it’s just a reminder of how I truly is and that I know it, they know it, and we know it. I guess the surprises wore us out. |

Yes, but I know it was me who wrote them and I just forgot. The only other one here who is old enough to write like me isn't really into conversing with others. And if she was, she wouldn't be very pleasant, which I hope I am.

What’s a clincher is when the handwriting is vaguely familiar and the note is something that I’ve no interest in with a concrete wall (borrowed) blocking any memories like things in inches and squares.
