integration defined in my location is the mental process humans use to connect thoughts, behaviors, objects, putting concepts together to form one.

I am asking what is the first thing you actually remember integrating. in other words what is the first thought, behavior, objects and concept that you have put together? (lets try and keep this thread positive and non triggering if you would like to talk about a triggering integration please start a new thread)

mine was the stars. I dont remember how old I was but suddenly I was fascinated by all these spots up above. As I stared above a sibling came over and sat next to me and told me about the stars. What they were, how they group together to form constellations, how some of those stars were actually satellites orbiting the earth. how to find the big dipper, All of this just suddenly made sense to me, all the different elements were being put together to make sense of the earth, my place on earth as a human being and how I was just a minute spec in this grand universe of planets, stars, sun, moons. In my mind it all made sense to me and I wanted to learn more.

what is the first integration of your thoughts, behaviors, objects and concepts that you put together?

I'm not sure if this is correct? Feel free to remove if not.
As a child i was very clumsy (still am) but could somehow do very good gymnastics tricks - especially on the balance beam. It was a unique feeling of my head, body, solid objects, physics, speed, balance... all just worked for a few minutes.
Was that integration? If not I'm sorry, and hope it was a nice story anyways.

yes thats what it is... you put all the different elements together to form one whole memory of accomplishing your gymnastics tricks and you have that conscious memory of doing that. All the different elements came together for you to be able to do that. Thank you for sharing one of your times when you did the integration process.

(integration doesnt have to be this big major thing, human beings do this every day of their lives where they are putting their thoughts, behaviors, objects, concepts together.)

another one of my first integrations that I remember was cooking my parents a meal on mothers day. there I was just a small child trying to put together eggs, sausage and cheese in a pan to make breakfast for my parents. that breakfast didnt look the greatest but my parents still ate it and I enjoyed the fact that I could "cook" something other than cereal. in order to do this and remember doing it so many elements had to come together with one goal in mind.

just wanted to clarify what this thread is for everyone. what you post does not have to be a DID alter integration.

I made this thread to be any situation in your life that you have used your behaviors, thoughts, an object or situation or concept (idea or theory) together to form one....

it can be a project you did, something you learned, something that suddenly made sense to you... anything where you and your body and mind worked together for one accomplished whole kind of thing.

I made this thread purposely so that those who may not understand the term integration or those that are afraid of the term or dont want to post about heavy integration the likes of alternate personality integration can see how this term fits in every day life.... you know the lighter side of the term.

I will be starting another thread a second part so to speak of the other side.... actual alternate personality integrations. that is why I ask this one to be general and light.

so in your whole life time when was a time where you put together your thoughts, behaviors, a concept or idea, what your senses told you... anything where you came up with that one whole ball of wax project, impression or what have you? (which is the ....general..... definition of integration if you looked it up in a dictionary)

Do these come across as epitomes? Like when a great universal truth or something blatantly obvious is fully realized...a connection is made?

These often happens when things are confusing, reality isn’t meshing up, emotionally distraught, hurt, perplexed...then what’s really happening sets in, reality makes sense, and an awakening.....or another part takes over and carries us past our problem to safety..

But with epitomes...there is like a universal calmness, everything seems bright, a sense of satisfaction like a lesson figured out...like two soap bubbles come together to form one.

Neat.

We're mostly integrated with ironing clothing.....Sounds cliched and simple in most cases it is necessary the idea of ironing clothing integrated right away......

Talking thru and negotiation consisted of

1. Wrinkle free
2. Long commutes
3. They looking
4. Compliments
5. Won't burn you all
6....Clothing isn't too traumatic from what happens the BIG T
7. Dress the part
8.... Spiritually mega church is a strength
