People are amazed of how we have such a variety of specialties and know so much which equates intelligence to them and often ask why... I just say “it’s just is” all the while thinking if they really knew what kind of a curse it truly is.

I’d rather be like everyone else and be happy just being a me... not a squad of group thinkers and of individuals with their own talent.

Does anyone else have the same experience and how do you handle it?

I understand what you mean, AlwaysChanging2 Unfortunately it's very hard for people without MI to imagine what it could be like. That's true for DID as well. The only thing we can do is to inform these people as much as we can. That's all we can do after all. Stay strong, AlwaysChanging2. Sending many hugs to you
