Possible trigger:
My question is...when he terrified me so badly that I left my body...does trauma like that make it easier or more likely you will dissociate in the future? Or is that just me..how I am? Does encountering trauma once or twice make it more likely or easier for me to pop out of my body? |

All I can say is my experience. The brain is a marvellous organ. It has more tools to protect us then we can count. Dissociation is a tool...used in extreme circumstances. Used it before we even realized what it was or what was happening. Therapy helped us handle events without crossing the dissociation line.
