I'm getting a lot of memories that aren't mine. Not traumatic ones, but ones that simply don't belong to me.
I've never had this happen to this extent before. Anyone else here deal with this? __________________ "Give him his freedom and he'll remember his humanity." |

DID integration process medication induced psychosis sleep deprivation. nerves and brain misfiring due to my MS (Physical health problem) my suggestion since this can be anything from normal to what ever physical or mental problem, the best thing to do is contact your own treatment providers. they will be able to tell you what this is in you based on your own histories. |

I don't know if this is what you're talking about but we have what I call character memories, which are memories from specific personalities (mostly belonging to fictives) that didn't actually happen. Again dunno if that's what you experience but it happens to us.

I've had that quite intensively, 2 memories, a few weeks apart, the second one coming in waves over a period of 4 months. I doubt very much that either of them happened, though the second part of the second one for sure cannot have happened, because time kept moving back and forth in that one.
Are your memories realistic? |

Ok. I guess occasionally that has happened to me, but I knew them to be real. When I drink, even if not much, I sometimes don't really care about being there and a part of me does. The memories of those nights tend to come a day to max a week later, more like an fyi. Doesn't happen often, not at all in the past 2 years or so.
I don't really mind it. The memory that didn't happen was far more difficult to handle, and still is, to some extend. |
