We get dissociation headaches, but we dissociate so much that we don't know when the headaches start.

We don't but they apparently have a formal name "Transitional Interpersonality Thunderclap Headaches"

Sometimes I get very switchy and have thunderclap headaches but it goes in phases. It feels like the front of my head area & a bit more surrounding area is going to explode. We can go for months without being switchy, but for me it's usually more like a bombardment of co-conscious switching with lot of parts co-fronting. What you talk about, blackouts, that happens rarely, but for me it's kind of a panic feeling when it happens & I wake up / front. Usually I lose consciousness, but sometimes I just go into the black void completely conscious. It's happened in the middle of trauma & DID therapy. I don't like it! My parts know that because it gets so frightening that I lash out, so I guess they've learned to stay far away from the front. It makes me feel bad. They say I'm a persecutor Paul

Thanks for creating this discussion. Have a nice day!
