I don't know much about age sliding except what's on youtube. While I was having DID therapy I once mentioned that sometimes I transform into little Paul. He never got around to talking about it with me because there were more important things. I no longer go to DID or trauma therapy. So I still wonder if it's age sliding or something else.

Everything matches what I see on youtube about age sliding except that sometimes I can feel little Paul when he gets closer and he can influence me to do things while I'm still fronting. I was wondering if anyone knows if that's possible with age sliding. I don't even know what mainstream thinks of age sliding. It seems they accept it.

BTW here's what I know about age sliding from people on youtube who have DID and age slide.

* Both the adult and little seem to hold the same memories. People on youtube who have DID and age slide know what their younger part, little, does.

* They can have different likes and dislikes. For example, the adult may prefer the color black while her little part prefers yellow.

* The way the switches happens can be different. For example this girl on youtube always yawns before she switches to another alter, but when she age slides she doesn't yawn.

Hey it’s Zelda out both Rose and Lily are an age slider too 19-26 and Jessica 6-10 they do feel younger then older sometimes triggeres also makes them age slide up or down right now Rose and Lily they are twins sisters and are 19 right now and Jessica is 6 currently happy Halloween

Hey I’m Caroline I’m 36 and gay Zelda isn’t though and I’m married to Eve who is my wife and I have a daughter Marry who is in the system too Zelda is asleep anyway I had a good birthday party with in the inner world and yes Zelda dose see us in her body with a mirror and with out do to our Schizoaffective I am glad we can talk to each other Literally in Zeldas head not through our ears hope you all have good Communication in other systems too age sliding is cool

Hi, thanks for the replies. I haven't visited the support forums for days and didn't have notifications turned on for this thread.

What you say sounds how I feel. Sometimes age sliding makes me feel more like a teen. It's hard to tell how old but I can get a general idea. The brain is pretty amazing how sometimes little Paul and I can communicate to each other. I think little Paul and adult Paul are in different areas of the brain. It's almost as if little Paul is becoming an alter.

I agree age sliding is cool! It's something that's always happened naturally my entire adult life, perhaps a coping mechanism, but it just happens all by itself. Certain triggers make it happen. It's a good thing now because little Paul is awesome. He makes us feel so happy and restores curiosity, which gives us hope and even passion for life. He's such a curious go happy little guy. He used to be so isolated but the past year he's now free. The world is the apple in his eye
