I used to be years ago. Can't remember my old username. Anyway, I have a diagnosed dissociative disorder. DID to be exact but I doubt it for so many reasons I won't get into that. For about 4 years I've been having things fly out of my mouth uncontrollably. It's a child speaking through my mouth. Me speaking in a childs voice. It says "Mommy touched me down there." or Mommy touched my panties." This happens at least 4 times a month. The Mommy part not in general. Way more frequent than that. Anyway, I wonder if I'm just batsh*t crazy. Why should I believe this nonsense? I have no memory of my mother doing anything of the sorts. Hope I haven't offended anyone just having a hard time. I should clarify that the references to my mom have only been going on for the past 8 months. All this has led me back here but before it was Psych Central.

Thanks for sharing this. I don't have a DID diagnosis. (Actually, I don't have any diagnosis at all that I'm aware of even though I've been kicking around the mental health system where I live for over 20 years.) But I noticed you had yet to receive a reply to this post. So I thought I would write one.
The sort of thing you describe used to be similar to what I used to experience many years ago (not so much anymore.) When I was in college, sitting in classes, I'd have almost uncontrollable urges to blurt something embarrassing out such as: "I still masturbate" or some other humiliating thing. I always just presumed it was a symptom of the near overwhelming anxiety I always suppressed. But I never knew for sure. And I still don't. __________________ "I may be older but I am not wise / I'm still a child's grown-up disguise / and I never can tell you what you want to know / You will find out as you go." Have you tried EMDR? You can focus in the "blurting out about you mother" and see where it leads. It's a good way to get answers to mysteries such as this.
