There are times when a part of mine comes out to be in “the real world” where I have complete amnesia, and there are times a part comes out where I am dissociative, but don’t have complete amnesia. The lengths of time vary, but the longer spans tend to always be the non-complete amnesia type. This has been my experience for many years.
So why would this change “all of a sudden”? I recently had quite a long spell with complete amnesia - something that hasn’t happened before to this extent by a long shot. It’s kinda freaking me out, tbh. Any thoughts anyone? [ I could use some outside views/thoughts right now. My head is spinning with “what ifs”. ] — lemonSys

Could it be that you are doing some important yet perhaps difficult work on yourself right now and trying to unify the parts.
So you are having complete amnesia, as it's a lot to handle all at once and it's like your brain is overloaded and shuts down to protect itself? I dunno, but these are my thoughts... |
