I thought about it, don't know. Have a bad answer. I'm just starting this whole journey, so as of now it's not "we", it's "me" (whichever one is it at the moment) and "them" (all the others). And each "me" tries to dominate all the rest. It's a freaking powerstruggle, not a team work. And definitely not a whole "I". Sorry I don't have a more meaningful or supportive response...

I use "I" when I talk. The others when they are out they use "we" a lot because they think of themselves as part of a whole. I've never thought like that so I'm "me". I'm myself and I'm I. Therapist thinks that will change when I come to accept them. For now... go with what is best for you. *safe hugs if you want them*

i am them and they are me. we are all one being. i picture dropping a hand-mirror in a frame. the mirror shatteres but it is one mirror. the fragments of glass show a distorted but complete image of the person you see when you look inside. the gaps between show the gaps and blanks that exist and make the picture distorted from her true being.

I love that analogy, leslie and the pixies.

I feel much the same...pieces of the whole...branches connected to the tree, but all still tree.

I like to use two different ways of explaining it. Take a box of crayons...some have 4, some have 8, 16, 24, 64 or more! There are different colors inside the box, but together it's still a box of color...separate or blended together they're still color destined for a purpose.

Also, consider a lighthouse. A lighthouse serves purpose as a whole...the best and most complete, panoramic view is from the head light. However, there are also deeper and separate windows from which the views might be limited to only what which can be seen from the particular window. Depending on where you're at within the lighthouse, your view might be complete or limited...whole and total or partial...still all part of the same lighthouse working to serve the destined functions.

Yes, I like all those analogies. It's all me, even if it doesn't feel like it and even if I don't remember things.

I don't know what I call myself, lol. I think I say I, but maybe some parts of my brain say we. But overall, I'm just me.
