I talked to some of you in the Traveller`s Lounge when I first found the site, but have realized that I probably didn`t introduce myself to fellow sufferers of Dissociative Disorders. Mine is intermittant, but under extreme stress I go into Dissociative Fugue. Even my mother didn`t believe me, she thought I was drugged out. I have found at least a couple of therapists who did believe me at different times during my life. I don`t have a therapist at all now, & fear that I am teetering on the edge of dissociating again. Just finding your site has relieved some of the stress, because most people simply don`t understand what you are talking about.

Hi Monty_girl, I changed my display name from JennaMurrison. Spoke to you the other day. The site has helped me lots. Think I might even be drawing back from the brink of Fugue. Have not really got entire site under control yet. You have been a member a longer time, will you help me?

I love that name, Dawntreader ... one of the Narnia books by C.S. Lewis is called 'Voyage of the Dawntreader'... is that where you got the name from, or from somewhere else?

Welcome Dawntreader,
Feel free to ask any questions about the site. It took me ages to figure it all out and I still find new things (to me) all the time!  I have only read about diss. fugues as you have described your situation. There are many supportive folks here who may not understand your condition fully but will gladly offer up support. Take care and ask away!!

silver is so clever to recognize the name from Narnia. Loved those books! It is a good name and journeying isn't always bad. Maybe your utter east is a better place in which to live?
